Projects

I've been busy through the summer with several Crochet projects. Much of it has been learning as I go but here are two of the big afghans I made. I have just one more I'm working on then maybe I'll take a break from the hook for a while. Or maybe I'll do one more for the baby coming 7 weeks after Christmas. We'll see. I have thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating and seeing the end results.

Wow! I'm very impressed! Do you guys like to geocach? We need to have you up for dinner sometime soon.

We have not tried geocaching, yet. My brother's family enjoys it so I made the afghan for his family's Christmas gift from us this year. As for that dinner, what can we bring :-)?

Wow! That is so cool. Every time I see a crochet thing I love it. I must need to learn.

We've tried geocaching once or twice. It was fun, but that was quite awhile ago. We'll have to try it again. I bet the older kids would love it.

I'll send you guys an email and see if we can figure out a time to do dinner.

Lauren, I had just one lesson. As the post says, I'm learning as I go. I wish you were closer so I could get you started! Let me know if you're coming out this way any time:-). My mom also just sent me an awesome book, "Getting Started Crochet" by Judith L. Swartz. I like seeing someone do something to learn it but if you can learn by reading, I think she explains the basics very well.
