What to get Susanna for her first birthday?
She has more clothes than we know what to do with.
She has all the types of toys children her age enjoy.
She has siblings to beat up on.
She already gets the food she likes to eat.
Savings account? Check.
What does she lack? Parents who have expensive dates!
So for Susanna's birthday, she got a babysitter. While we went to P.F. Chang's.
We know. That's horrible. But since we'll be those paying for the therapy, she can deal with it.
Oh, but least you think we are completely horrid, she is getting a Care Bear cake.

I think Amy and I just found out what to get our kids each year. That hadn't even crossed my mind yet. Ingenious
For Kendyl's 1st birthday we got a new tv- for ourselves. :) For her 4th bday we signed the papers to our home in Utah- so we always told her it was her bday present. :) On my 13th bday my dad got me braces and said that was the most expensive gift he's ever paid for so I needed to be grateful. hahaha. The wonderful things we do as parents.
I like her birthday better than Heidi's... hers was spent packing up our house! Although she did get a mean piece of chocolate cake. But we forgot to give her the gift we got her until 2 days later....
